When things are out of the ordinary our trust in God is tested. When we feel out of our depth. When we’re pushed out of our comfort zone. When life seems out of control.
For Isaiah’s Jerusalem everything was about to change. In the past God rescued their city. Stopped an army in its tracks. But this time things are different. This time the city will fall. How can they trust God through defeat and exile? Is it time to find a bigger, better God?
Through Isaiah, God speaks words of comfort. There is none greater than him. There’s nowhere we can go outside of his presence. Nowhere beyond the reach of his faithful care. So we can trust him, love him, and declare his glory among the nations.
