Staff Team
Paul Holland
Senior Pastor
As Senior Pastor of Gateway, Paul leads the staff team and is responsible for preaching, training and pastoral care of the church family. Paul is married to Bi Min and they have two children, Zoe and Ezra. Having grown up in the UK, Paul enjoys exploring Singapore and trying local food. To relax he likes reading fiction, following Formula 1 and having fun with his family.
Damien Sin
Operations Manager
Damien manages operations at Gateway to achieve the church’s vision. He also supports and equips families at Gateway in their christian discipleship. He is married to Wendy and they have four children: Nathen, Jovian, Matthew and Charlotte. In his free time, Damien enjoys spending time with his family chatting over meals and cycling at the park connector near their home.
John Chua
Pastor
John oversees the Community Groups at Gateway, trains the small group leaders and leads the music ministry. He also teaches biblical Greek at ETCAsia, where he did his theological studies. John is married to Sora, and they love spending time with their two daughters Elise and Sophie. Having worked as a film music composer, John also enjoys playing piano and writing music.
Alex Greaves
Kids Ministry
Alex currently leads Gateway’s Kid’s ministry. Alex met his wife Joy after moving from Sydney to Singapore in 2015, and they welcomed their daughter Jemma into their family in 2021. In his downtime, Alex loves playing video games, both solo and with friends.
Millie Thng
Apprentice
Millie joined the Gateway Apprentice Programme in 2024. As part of her training, she supports the women’s ministry by helping to care for and train women in church. She is the younger of two sisters. In her free time, she enjoys meeting her friends and family, including playing with her sister’s Sheltie.
Charmaine Phua
Accountant and Administrator
Charmaine takes care of the finance, human resource and administration at Gateway. She is happily married to Zhi Yoong and together they enjoy being outdoors with their three children, Chloe, Claris, and Caleb. Charmaine has a soft spot for anything noodles and loves a spicy bowl of Bak Chor Mee.

Poh Li Kai
Youth Ministry
Li Kai currently works as a dentist. He leads the youth ministry at Gateway. He is married to Jolene and they have two kids, Aeva and Adam. He enjoys slow days with nice coffee and a peaceful nap.
Chew Zi Yang
Mandarin Ministry
Zi Yang is a student at ETCAsia. He currently leads the mandarin ministry at Gateway. He has very recently been married to Emma.
Elders
Our elders oversee the church. They work to ensure we’re a family fit for purpose, holding out the gospel to the world together. The elders are accountable to God for the spiritual care of the Gateway church family and pastor the church by teaching God’s word in public and with individuals.

Deacons
Deacons serve the church by helping to coordinate church activities and providing practical care to members of the church family.
Andre Chong
Deacon
Andre ensures that the church carries out its work in accordance with the law. Outside of church, Andre works as a lawyer. He is married to Min, with whom he parents Luke and Liv. Together Andre and Min lead a church Community Group.
Ernest Aw
Deacon
Ernest helps with coordinating ministries at Gateway, as well as mobilising practical care and support among our church family. He is married to Shaula, and has recently became a father to baby Natalie. In his free time, Ernest enjoys a game of football, be it on the field, on the TV, or on the playstation.
Thomas Chuah
Deacon
As finance deacon and treasurer for Gateway, Thomas helps with stewardship of church finances, as well as budget planning and forecast for the church. He is married to Si Hui and they enjoy walks in parks as well as hosting people for meals and fellowship at their place.
Board of Reference
Our board consists of godly men who provide counsel, advice and pastoral accountability to the leadership of Gateway Church. It has no executive functions.
